KDS Lavu iPad Setup

When configuring an iPad for use with the KDS Lavu App, you will first need to set the iPad to have a static IP address. Prior to doing this, you will need to know the DHCP range of your router. You will need to select an IP address that is outside of the range. If your default range is x.x.x.2 through .254, you will need to know how to adjust it. If you do not know how, contact your Lavu Reseller or IT Professional.

If you have this information, please follow the instructions listed bellow.

1. Open up Settings on the iPad

2. Tap on Wi-Fi button in the left side menu settings

3. You should be on your POS Wi-Fi network. To the right side of your network name you will see a blue circle with an “i” in it. Tap on it.

4. Along the top you will see “DHCP” and it will likely be highlighted in blue. Tap on “Static” to the right of it.

5. You will note that the fields below are blank. Tap on them to fill them in.

6. At this point, you will need to know your routers DHCP range as previously mentioned. You will want to select an IP address that is outside that range.

7. Enter in the IP address, Subnet Mask, router and DNS address. The router and DNS address will be the same.
