What Integration Data do I enter for Heartland?
Checking the Integrated credit card processing checkbox is only the first step of being able to accept credit card payments through Lavu POS. It is vital that you enter the correct Integration Data in the correct text field.
Heartland Payment Systems provides all integration data to you when you register an account with them. Heartland Payment Systems will provide two User IDs; one is called the “Software User ID” while the other is called the “Administrative User ID”. For Lavu, you only need the Software User ID to be entered into Integration Data 1.
The password will be the new password you create upon logging into the Heartland Portico Gateway for the first time.
All other information should not be modifiable after it is assigned to you by Heartland Payment Systems.
To use Lavu with the Heartland Payment Systems Gateway platform, please enter the following information in the correct fields:
Integration data 1: SOFTWARE USER ID
- User name, assigned by Heartland Payment Systems during registration
Integration data 2: SOFTWARE USER PASSWORD
- Password for user, created by user after registration and first time logging into Heartland Portico Gateway
Integration data 3: LICENSE ID
- License identifier, assigned by Heartland Payment Systems during registration
Integration data 4: SITE ID
- Site identifier, assigned by Heartland Payment Systems during registration
Integration data 5: DEVICE ID
- Device identifier, assigned by Heartland Payment Systems during registration
No other Integration Data is required.
NOTE: The Default transaction type will affect how tips are processed. Which Default transaction type you select is dictated by the gateway, processor, merchant service provider, or banking company. You need to speak directly with Heartland to find out what you Default transaction type should be.
Remember, once you have selected your Gateway from the Payment Gateway drop-down menu and entered your Integration data, click Submit at the bottom of the CC Integration page.
Finally, be sure you Reload Settings on all devices running the Lavu POS App so the changes will take effect in the Lavu POS App.
