Pairing the PayPal Reader
Before You Begin
- Make sure you turn on your iOS device Bluetooth settings before pairing the reader.
- Charge and power on your Lavu Kiosk credit card reader.
Best Practices
There are a few things you can do to ensure your Kiosk is always operational:
- Keep the credit card reader and iPad plugged into power all of the time. This will ensure that the reader does not lose its pairing with the iPad.
- Turn the iPad Auto-Lock settings to 'Never'.
Pairing in the App
- Open the Kiosk App
- Triple tap your logo in the top left corner of the screen
- Enter in your admin PIN
- Tap on Card Reader Settings
- Tap Connect
- Select the reader you would like to pair with Lavu Kiosk
- The reader should now be paired and ready for use
Updating a PayPal Chip and Tap Reader
Sometimes the Chip and Tap Reader will need to be updated before it can be used. Complete the following steps to manually check for an update.
NOTE: The reader must be paired to the iPad prior to an update being conducted.
- Triple tap the logo in the top left corner of the screen
- Enter in your PIN
- Tap on Card Reader Settings
- Tap Update
- If an update is available the reader will then be updated
Now that this is complete, we can finish out your Lavu Kiosk hardware.
