Tips are only ever added at the time of sale and must be added on the iCT250 terminal. You cannot adjust tips after the sale has completed.

All tip settings, such as whether or not to prompt for a tip, must be adjusted in the iCT250. Lavu tip settings have no effect on this reader.

Enable Tipping on the iCT250

  1. Press # on the reader to access the Admin Menu
  2. Press 3 for the Setup Menu
  3. Enter the manager password (default is P123456)
  4. Press 4 for Trans(action) Options
  5. Press 5 for Tip Options
  6. Press 1 for Tip
  7. Select 1 to turn tipping off or 2 for Standard Tipping

Tip Guide

The Ingenico iCT250 is capable of displaying a tip guide for your customers to use. The guide, when turned on, displays 10%, 15%, and 20% tip suggestions. You can choose whether or not to show the guide and adjust the amounts it displays.

Show the Tip Guide

Press # on the reader to access the Admin Menu

 

  1. Press 3 for the Setup Menu
  2. Enter the manager password (default is P123456)
    1. Press 7 and then F to enter ‘P’
    2. Contact Chase Paymentech Support (1-800-934-7717) if you need to reset your password because you are unable to remember it.
  3. Press 4 for Trans(action) Options
  4. Press 5 for Tip Options
  5. Press 2 for Tip Guide
  6. Press 1 for Tip Guide (This is not a mistake. The first tip guide selection opens the menu for tip guide, the second allows you to turn it on or off.)
  7. Select 1 to turn the Guide off or 2 to Display the Guide

 

Adjusting the Tip Guide Amounts

You are not stuck with the default percentages (10%, 15%, 20%) for your tip guide. You can adjust those percentages to be whatever you like.

  1. Press # on the reader to access the Admin Menu
  2. Press 3 for the Setup Menu
  3. Enter the manager password (default is P123456)
    1. Press 7 and then F to enter ‘P’
    2. Contact Chase Paymentech Support (1-800-934-7717) if you need to reset your password because you are unable to remember it.
  4. Press 4 for Trans(action) Options
  5. Press 5 for Tip Options
  6. Press 2 for Tip Guide 1 (This is the 10% guide)
  7. Enter the percentage you would like the first guide to reflect
  8. Press Enter
  9. Repeat steps 6-8 for Tip Guide 2 (press 3) and Tip Guide 3 (press 4)
