Lavu POS 4 - Reopen and Re-Close Orders

You may need to reopen an order to reprint a lost kitchen ticket or to process a refund. This article will walk you through those processes.

Reopen Order

  1. Tap the hamburger menu
  2. Tap Orders
  3. Tap Closed 
  4. Find and tap the order you want to reopen
  5. Tap Reopen Order at the top of the screen
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the process

Re-Close Order from Order Details

Let's say you just reopened an order to reprint the ticket. There is no need to go to the checkout screen. Simply use the Order Details module. 

  1. Tap the Order ID, Table Number, or Tab Name at the top of the order pad
  2. Tap Close Order
  3. Tap the Confirm Close Order
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the process

Re-close Order from Checkout

A reopened order will not automatically close out in the checkout screen when you hit zero balance due. You must manually reclose it. 

  1. Tap the hamburger menu
  2. Tap Functions
  3. Tap Checkout
  4. Tap Re-close
  5. Follow the prompts to complete the process

NOTE: The ability to reopen and re-close tickets can be restricted to admin users in the Advanced Location Settings of the Lavu Control Panel.
