A tutorial article showing you how to add a logo to your printed receipts and checks.
Adding a logo to your receipt is one of the best ways to customize your receipts and printed checks. There are just a few quick steps you need to take to start printing your logo.
- Prepare and upload your logo.
- Enable logo printing.
- Ensure you are printing in Graphics Mode
Upload your Logo
To upload your logo, log into your Lavu Control Panel (cp.poslavu.com), and navigate to Company Settings by clicking on Location under Settings.
Scroll down and you will find two settings for uploading your logo. The second settings is for printing your logo on receipts.
There are a few recommendations we have when choosing a logo to print:
- Choose a simple image over a photo. The less details the better your logo will print out.
- Try to upload a logo in black and white. Your receipt printer cannot print any colors, and the Control Panel will automatically edit your image to be black and white. It is best to start with a black and white image for the best results.
- While there are no set requirements for how big or small your image can be, we would recommend using an image that is wider than it is tall. Taller images can take up much more room and use significantly more receipt paper.
- Always test your logo with a test order. You want to make sure the image isn't stretched or compressed beyond recognition. If that is the case, you may need to crop the image or resize it using your computer's image editing tools.

Enable Logo Printing
The last two steps are going to take place in printer settings.
- On the left hand side, click on Printers/Technical under Settings.
- At the top of the screen click on Printers/KDS.
To enable logo printing, scroll down to the section labeled Direct Printing, and enable the setting Include company logo on receipt.
Enable Graphics Mode
The last step is to ensure Graphics Mode is enabled on each of your receipt printers. Scroll down to Printers/KDS, and click on one of your receipt printers.
Here is an example of an account with two receipt printers.
Select one of your receipt printers, and ensure the setting Image Capability is set to Epson Graphics.
Don't forget to click Save, and to reload settings on your POS.
