Pairing your VP3300 with Lavu Kiosk

A short article showing you how to pair your VP3300 card reader with your iPad running Lavu Kiosk

For credit card processing, Lavu Kiosk supports the use of the VP3300 card reader through Lavu Pay.

With this card reader, you will be able to conduct the following kinds of transactions:

  • Traditional card swipes
  • EMV chip inserts
  • Tap to Pay (Apple Pay, Google Wallet, etc.)
  • Lavu Gift Cards

Follow the steps below to pair your card reader to Lavu Kiosk

  1. Ensure bluetooth is enabled on your iPad. ipad_bluetooth
  2. Open the Lavu Kiosk app, and tap on your logo three times in the top right corner. kiosk_tap_logo
  3. Enter in your PIN you use on the POS. kiosk_admin_pin
  4. Tap Card Reader on the left hand side, then tap Scan Terminals. At this point, your VP3300 card reader should be fully charged and powered on. kiosk_scan_terminals
  5. If asked, allow your iPad to connect to bluetooth devices. In a few seconds, Lavu Kiosk should detect any VP3300 card readers that are not already paired with other devices. Simply tap on the device you wish to connect to. We recommend turning on and pairing one device at a time so that only one option shows like in the example below. kiosk_select_terminal

At this point your reader will be connected to Lavu Kiosk and is ready to take transactions.

If you are having trouble connecting your reader to Lavu Kiosk, try the following troubleshooting.

  • Make sure your reader is fully charged and powered on. You should see a blue light blinking intermittently when the reader is ready to be connected.
  • Make sure the reader is close enough to the iPad. We recommend keeping the card reader within 5 feet of the iPad to ensure a stable and reliable connection.
  • If you believe the card reader is in standby mode, press the power button on the side of the reader to put it back into an active mode.
