An article detailing how the integration between Lavu, Menu Drive, and DoorDash works, and how you can connect your accounts.
Lavu has developed an integration with DoorDash so that you can connect all of your accounts together, and have your orders be sent directly to your Lavu POS.
You will no longer need a dedicated tablet or printer just for receiving orders from your DoorDash account. You can have everything centralized in Lavu POS.
For this to work, you need to have a Lavu POS account, a Menu Drive account, and a DoorDash account. Once all of that is in place, please reach out to our support team to have your Lavu and Menu Drive accounts prepped for integration with DoorDash.
We have 24/7 support by phone at 505-535-5288, or email support@lavu.com. If you have multiple locations that need to be onboarded, please contact the Lavu Customer Success team and they will assist you in getting each location set up properly.
Connecting Your Accounts
Once both of your accounts have been set up for DoorDash, you will find a new page added to your Menu Drive Control Panel.
Click on Settings, and then select Delivery Providers.
Here you will be able to sign into your Door Dash account, and connect your specific store with this specific Menu Drive account. Click on Connect to DoorDash to get started.
Click Continue on the following popup, and you will then be able to sign into your Door Dash account.
Click on the blue Onboard button under the specific DoorDash store you want to connect. If you have a single location, then only one option will be available to you.
Your Menu Drive account will begin exporting your menu information to DoorDash. This may take a few minutes. Refresh your web page, and when it's finished, you will be able to click on Activate Onboarding.
You will finally have access to DoorDash specific settings within your Menu Drive account. This includes percentages for Dual Pricing, special store hours, and temporary closures.
Update DoorDash with any Menu Changes
Should you make any changes to your menu that you want to reflect on DoorDash, simply click the orange Sync Menu button on this screen.
Just like the initial onboarding, this may take a few minutes depending on the size of your menu.
Out of Stock Items
The DoorDash and Lavu POS integration automatically adds inventory tracking to DoorDash. If an item is out of stock on the POS, then the item will automatically be removed from the DoorDash storefront.
This works whether you are using Item Level 86 Tracking, or Lavu's inventory platform with ingredients.
Control Dual Pricing
Menu Drive allows you to add dual pricing (or Cash Discount Program) to your online orders through DoorDash.
Simply enable the feature, and enter a number for the percentage increase to your menu items' prices.
We recommend a dual pricing increase of 5%.
Temporary Closures
DoorDash allows you to turn off delivery orders at any time by activating a temporary closure. Click on the gray slider icon to turn it green, and then select a date to automatically turn your store back on.
You also have the ability to email your customers through DoorDash to explain why and how long you will be closed for online orders.
Note: This will immediately prevent your customers from submitting orders. To schedule these events in advance, refer to special store hours below.
Special Store Hours
When the holidays come along, and your hours change, it's a good idea to prepare your online ordering accounts for this change.
From the Menu Drive Control Panel, you are able to set up special hours in advance. Whether that is to slightly change your opening hours, or close your store for an entire day, you can schedule these changes at any time.
Keep in mind that you have the ability to add as many of these special hours as you want.
